Filpar Elastic
This elastic is incredibly easy to stitch, and you’ll truly enjoy working with it! Manufactured in Italy, it serves to stabilize waistlines on yoga pants and leggings. Additionally, it is perfect for reinforcing shoulder seams and finishing the cut edges at necklines and armholes.
This elastic is resistant to chlorine and salt. It comes in both white and black, with a width of 5/16” and a thickness of 8MM. Crafted from 100% rubber, it features a silicone coating for enhanced usability. Be cautious and keep it away from the iron, as heat will strip the silicone finish and make stitching difficult—trust me, I’ve learned this the hard way!
Ideal for applications requiring sturdy yet thin elastic, it’s excellent for creating delicate straps. Simply sew the elastic into the seamline of the strap, allowing it to turn right-side out effortlessly. Thanks to its slim profile and silicone-coated ribbed surface, Filpar Rubber Elastic works seamlessly with both sewing machines and sergers, feeding through without jamming under the presser foot.
