Here is your answer. Yoga pants are usually made from cotton lycra knit. I had the same fabric as my granddaughters pants in my stash.
I would recommend that you do an internet search for that type of fabric OR go to the used clothing store like Value Village and see if you can buy a pair cheap and use this pair as your resource. Keep in mind that this area of your Yoga pants is not very visible so the extra fabric would not have to match perfectly.

Hey there I just wanted to say thank you so very much for posting this hack online this has helped me out a great deal. I suffer from severe Sensory issues and high functioning autism, making it so I can only wear certain pairs of clothes and can’t wear things with harsh seeming etc. I recently got a chihuahua puppy that has chewed the only 3 pairs of pants I owned and could comfortably wear. I was so devastated and thought I’d never be able to fix them until finding this. So thank you sosososos very much ??
